Leadership and Management have a real challenge – a dilemma of sorts. They can assume and act as if they have all the answers. Often, they believe that is what is expected of them.
When you assume the questioner could have a solution or idea of their own, asking for their perspective and input will actually help THEIR development as an employee is what neuroscience is telling us. Could be, you’ll be surprised by their answer, too! The risk is more creativity, a better solution or something novel.
